Congratulations to our latest Dissertation Defendants from UGA Toxicology!

Yufei Sui

Congratulations to Yufei Sui, an Interdisciplinary Toxicology Program student in the Crop and Soil Science department of the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. On June 10th, 2026, she successfully defended her dissertation titled “Electrochemical Degradation of PFAS Using Modified Titanium Suboxide Anodes and Implications for Dietary Exposure in Hydroponic Vegetables.” Yufei’s major professor was Dr. Qingguo (Jack) Huang, and her graduate advisory committee comprised Drs. Jia-Sheng Wang, Sayed M. Hassan, and Ke Li.

Taylor Martin

Congratulations to Taylor Martin, an Interdisciplinary Toxicology Program student in the Physiology and Pharmacology department of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. On June 12th, 2026, he successfully defended his dissertation titled “The Role of Uterine Epithelial Progesterone Receptor in Early Pregnancy Signaling Events.” Taylor’s major professor was Dr. Xiaoqin Ye, and his graduate advisory committee comprised Drs. Rabindranath De La Fuente and Charles Easley.
