Kylie Renee Tager UGA Toxicology

Congratulations to Kylie Renee Tager, an Interdisciplinary Toxicology Program student in the Environmental Health Science department of the University of Georgia College of Public Health. On June 30th, 2025, she successfully defended her dissertation titled:

“Is your fertility going up in smoke? Analyzing the effects of cigarette smoking on male reproductive health”. Kylie’s major professor was Dr. Charles Easley, and her graduate advisory committee consisted of Drs. Yao Yao, Maria Viveiros, and Andrew Benson.

Alejandra Bargues-Carot UGA Toxicology

Congratulations to Alejandra Bargues-Carot, an Interdisciplinary Toxicology Program student in the Physiology and Pharmacology department of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. On June 5th, 2025, she successfully defended her dissertation titled: “Investigating Environmental Exposure and Extracellular Vesicle Signatures in Parkinson’s Disease: Insights into Biomarkers and Neuroinflammatory Mechanisms.” Alejandra’s major professor was Dr. Anumantha Kanthasamy, and her graduate advisory committee consisted of Drs. Arthi Kanthasamy, Nikolay Filipov, and Steve Stice.

Jonathan Hancock UGA Toxicology

Congratulations to Jonathan Hancock, an Interdisciplinary Toxicology Program student in the Physiology and Pharmacology department of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. On June 11th, 2025, he successfully defended his dissertation titled: “The Role of Estrogen in Early Pregnancy Signaling Events.” Jonathan’s major professor was Dr. Xiaoqin Ye, and his graduate advisory committee consisted of Drs. Wendy Watford and Charles Easley.

Seth Daniel Currie UGA Toxicology

Congratulations to Seth Daniel Currie, an Interdisciplinary Toxicology Program Student in the Environmental Health Science department of the University of Georgia College of Public Health. On April 1st, 2025, he successfully defended His Dissertation titled: “Development of a Quantitative Adverse Outcome Pathway (qAOP) Network to Assess Developmental Neurotoxicity (DNT) of Per-And Polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) Mixture in Caenorhabditis Elegans.” Seth’s major professor was Dr. Lili Tang, and his graduate advisory committee comprised Drs. Jia-Sheng Wang, Phillip Williams and Qingguo “Jack” Huang.
